Job Title: Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting

2025 Wages/Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 base salary + year-end incentive compensation annual bonus potential, depending on individual and firm performance

Location: Marlborough, MA headquarters, hybrid role

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting to lead our finance and accounting function, ensuring financial integrity, strategic planning, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting operations while providing strategic financial insights to drive business decisions.

This is a hybrid position, with at least three days per week working in-office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, profitability measurement, and financial modeling.
• Oversee accounting staff and all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, state, provincial, and federal tax requirements and filings, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain financial reports to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive financial strategies aligned with the firm's business goals.
• Manage cash flow, financial risk assessment, and capital planning.
• Provide financial insights to develop and support pricing for firm services and client engagements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Partner with operational teams to analyze project profitability, revenue recognition, and cost optimization.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Master’s, MBA,CPA and/or CFA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial management and leadership experience, preferably at consulting or professional services firms.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, federal and state income taxes, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
